  1.      Synchron Data is a Vendor Member of the Association of Shareware
  2.      Professionals (ASP).  We support the ASP's efforts to educate the
  3.      public about the nature of Shareware distribution.  We hope you'll
  4.      find Shareware to be an effective method of obtaining computer
  5.      programs.

  7.      The term Shareware describes a marketing method in which
  8.      copyrighted programs circulate freely among users for the purpose
  9.      of evaluation.  This gives you the option to "Try Before You Buy".
  10.      The author of a Shareware program typically allows you to try the
  11.      program for up to 30 days before payment is required.  The exact
  12.      terms of evaluation vary from author to author, so be sure to check
  13.      the documentation of the programs you evaluate.

  15.      The fee you pay to Synchron Data is a distribution fee and does
  16.      not cover the cost of the program itself.  Programs which are used
  17.      beyond the author's prescribed evaluation period require a separate
  18.      payment to the author.  By making payment to the author you obtain
  19.      a legal right to use the software, and encourage the continued
  20.      development of quality software within the Shareware channel.

  22.      The process of paying for Shareware is termed "registration".  The
  23.      exact benefits of registration vary from author to author, but many
  24.      authors will offer one or more of the following: a current version,
  25.      technical support, a printed manual, free or discounted upgrades,
  26.      bonus utilities or special offers.  Consult the registration
  27.      information included with each program for specific details."
